Been a while...

It's been a while since I posted something here...

Here's what happened last month in a nutshell:
- Got my job back, I've been 6 months flat without a proper job.
- The weather is kinda nice this week, I'm looking forward to see how summer will be this year.
- CEGEP's term is now over. Got out of those shitty computer tech. courses.
- I love my girlfriend madly!
- Montreal's Canadien is on half-finals!

It's great when things go smooth and well.

R.I.P. Mangaya

Meh... bad news for Montreal's otakus. The greatest manga shop is going bankrupt and is gonna close down on April 7th 2010. Right now they give everything at 50%. The Marche Clandestin also closes, this one was selling DVDs and goodies. It's just above the Mangaya.

I got the chance to go raid the place with Animorency's staff and got out with a pile of mangas for a good price.

Seeing more and more stores closing is scaring the shit out of me. I know we're still in a economical recession, but the crisis is coming and that is scaring me.

EASTER HOLIDAYS! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Yay! Holidays! That means 7 days of break from school. I have a few homework but nothing special.

Microsoft's Xbox 360 sucks

The 360 is the less valuable gaming console to me. I really don't like the design, the games and the freaking Microsoft's "you have to pay for everything" marketing strategies. I own several gaming console and I can say that the 360 is the most worthless console I have.

The hardware is just a bunch of crap glued together in a white plastic shell. For all the gaming consoles I have, the 360 is the worst for hardware failures. Let's talk about the famous red ring of death. It could mean anything like memory overheat, GPU overheat, bullshit overheat, etc. Yeah, half hardware failures comes from the bad design and the deficient hardware cooling. The rest are other bullshit like a cheap DVD player that fails every now and then. Even the original Xbox had less hardware flaws.

The games on the 360 are worthless pieces of crap. I mean all the exclusive ones. I didn't like Halo games. What other interesting exclusive games there is? Konquer's badfurday? I don't give a flying fuck about this, I have the original on the N64! Good games on the 360 are often available on the PS3 or the Wii, so why would I give a shit on buying a 360 when I have these great games on my PS3 already?

The fucking "you must pay for anything" just pisses me off! HEY! You must pay your Xbox live subscription and you must pay for a wireless internet adapter! These two comes for FREE on PS3 AND Wii. Other thing that pisses me of are the controller. The controllers are very good ergonomically. My complaint is on the wireless controllers. Go figure, some genius at Microsoft thought that wireless controller had to use a proprietary homegrown protocol. Hum... BLUETOOTH GUYS? Why in the name of fuck you could not go for a STANDARD protocol that EVERYBODY uses except you?

Welcome to Quebec!

(I'm tired, but this has to go out of my mind. Please excuse my incoherency.)

Every now and then, there is someone who rages on something wrong with the Quebec. I often answer: Welcome to Quebec! or Bienvenue au Québec! with a big load of sarcasm.

This sums everything that goes wrong here. Us quebecers are nothing more than little whining people. We whine on everything but we don't do nothing to change. A normal quebecer doesn't have a spine and is unable to change something. It goes wrong, we whine or rage on and that's it! What a shit load of stupidity. I mean, look we could change things for the best, but instead we just whine on it.

Another thing I just fucking hate, is when someone intelligent wants to change something, he's destroyed by the others. We don't like changing, we love to whine!

I could go and rant on a shitload of things that are just plain wrong for pages and pages, but I'll keep that for later. I'm kind of exhausted mentally with all the shit I ate today, so I'm gonna go sleep.

Sucky day 1

Meh... what a bad day I had.

At first the weather was horrible. You know, the typical grey weather we have in Quebec. Man, I fucking hate this moody weather. It makes me feel like shit.

Second, I just learnt that they check the R rate for entering in TESL. I'm feeling stressed now, mine's is at 20 for now and it will most likely go down in the next semesters.

Third, the fucking maths exam. I literally answered only half of the questions and everything else was alien to me.

Positive thing: I just learned that I could do a certificate in Langues et cultures d'Asie which pretty much interests me. Specially the Japanese language learning courses. With that I could enter easily university and learn Japanese. After this certificate I can go and enter TESL without problems. The only drawback is the price of doing a supplementary year in university which costs more than CEGEP, but is way more useful.

I'll see what I can do. I must go and meet my orientation counselor soon.
